Heartburn Quiz

A Touch of Heartburn or Something More Serious?

Take this quiz to determine when it's time to call the doctor for your heartburn symptoms.

  1. Do you experience heartburn symptoms more than twice a week? (Symptoms include burning feeling in the chest behind the breastbone after eating, chest pain, sour taste in the back of the throat, difficulty swallowing, or sensation of something sticking in chest or throat.)

  2. Do you have nighttime symptoms of heartburn at least once a month?

  3. Are you using over-the-counter antacids more frequently?

  4. Are you currently taking physician-prescribed medications for heartburn?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you could have acid reflux or GERD, a serious condition that requires medical attention. Contact us to schedule an appointment.
